Good Morning:
I am writing to inform you of the success I had with your Restorer and
Conditioner. I have a "buckskin color" motorcycle jacket I purchased about
3 years ago. The problem: it was stiff as cardboard. I applied two coats
of another product that I have used successfully on my other cycle
leathers, and the next morning found that my jacket had darkened
horribly,and in patches, and turned "rancid." The odor was such as to
render the jacket unusable. These things do not come cheaply, and, in an
effort to "undo what had happened," I saddlesoaped with both regular and
glycerin, used high fat laundry soap, moisturizing soap, shampoo, even
drycleaning, to no avail. The drycleaning did undo some of the darkening,
but the odor still remained. I hung the jacket outdoors for days on end
thinking that perhaps might help, but no.
Years ago, I had received a sample bottle of Restorer and
Conditioner from a tack shop. I had used it sparingly over the years, and
still had a bit left. Seeing I had nothing to lose, I tried what little I
had left on the back of the jacket. SUCCESS!!!!! the odor disappeared
almost completely, immediately, and in two days, it was gone, at least from
that section of the coat. I called Unicorn, speaking with Pino, who told
me that there was a distributor in my area. I went there, purchased
another bottle, did the whole jacket, and, as I write this, it is hanging
up, drying, but the odor is completely gone. The jacket smells like new
leather again, as it did when I bought it. That being the largest
improvement, there is yet another: it is softened considerably.
Thanks so much for making such a wonderful product. In this day and age, it
is nice to find a product that does exactly what is stated it will do.
